Ireland

How expensive is Dublin? Most people say “very” while others find value in places you might not think of. Many people thought that the current recession being felt by the country would bring down prices however for the most part this does not seem to be the case.

What Im talking about here are day to day living costs rather than property which has of course taking a massive hit with many people now unfortunately in negative equity. On a recent visit to the city I found pubs and restaurants to be a little less expensive than they were during the boom years.

The price of a pint was slightly down while there were a lot more early bird offers around Temple Bar and the like than there used to be. Grafton St was busy with lots of special offer posters draped over numerous shop windows with a healthy amount of shoppers taking them up on these prices.

I found a cheap car hire Dublin Airport deal online before I arrioved so Im gonna drive out and see how the cost of living relates in the rest of the country.

Baby Store

Having a baby can be a lot of hard work with expenses cropping up when you think you have everything covered. Its a difficult time financially and requires quite a bit of planning. There are several essential items that most parents may find it hard to get along without.

You may consider baby cots as a good choice. Buy a quality model which is durable and comfortable for your baby. You should also be careful what cot mattress you pick as there are many different types available so do your research before purchasing.

If you already have an older child by say 2 or 3 years then a buggy board might be a good choice. It attaches easily to the back of a stroller so that you child can stand at the back and you can easily get around while your child is sure to enjoy the spin.

Make a list of everything you think you may require for your new baby and consult with any friends you know who have had children and may be able to help out. They may have items they don’t need anymore which could save you some money in what is an expensive time. Read as much information as you can before making any decision.
